20%
I have lost exactly 20% of my body!!! Yahoo. That's 27.6kg gone. No wonder I have a whole new wardrobe. I'm not halfway yet, but I do feel so much healthier/more energetic/happier now. By the time I'm at goal weight, I will have lost about 50% of my body. What kind of insanity let me get to that size??
Earthquakes
My MIL was very tearful this morning because the big aftershock tipped her out of bed. She had been sitting up but ended up on her knees on the floor. Not hurt, but very distressed. She just said on the phone, "I'm ashamed of myself that I'm so upset by this when really, I'm ok. I guess I'm just an old dear and at 90 these things upset us." Well yes, I think she's entitled to feel upset by all these earthquakes! Poor thing.
Home Visit
I'm off to the airport now to fly home to NZ for 3 1/2 days. It will be tiring and hard, but great too. I'll be seeing my Dad who has been so ill, and Mum who is exhausted. I also to see my beautiful daughters. God I can't wait to hug them tomorrow.
Keep well - and keep losing weight, cos this feels amazing.

Have a nice flight Deb! looking forward to hearing you headed out for that fishing trip!
ReplyDeleteCongrat again on your absolutly fantastic weight loss! youll be a yummy mummy before you know and you wont know what to do with yourself!
Enjoy your time in NZ as much as possible! Remember to take time for yourself as well, even just a sit and a coffee!
Well done Deb that is fantastic - great achievement.
ReplyDeleteHave a great time in NZ and stay safe - thinking of your family..
Excellent work Deb! You just keep plugging away & you will loose the other 30%. Just think, you're nearly half way there. Enjoy your flight, enjoy the fact that it will be way more comfortable being in those airplane seats than it was 20% ago. Enjoy the fact that when you do get to spend that precious time with your dad, your mum & your daughters that each & every one of them will be proud of you & what you are achieving. I know it will be a bittersweet trip for you & I know that combined with the quakes in christchurch (I'm so happy my mum was in blenheim not in christchurch, although I have extended family there)& your dad's illness that it will be a tough time, like Ali said, try & take some time for yourself. You are a strong & motivating woman & our thoughts are with you whilst you are away.
ReplyDeleteGreat job!
ReplyDeleteWell done on the weight loss Deb - you are such an inspiration to me. Good luck with the trip to NZ, stay safe and enjoy the time with you family.
ReplyDeleteWoo Hoo on the 20% Deb! - Good luck on your trip home and all the best to you and your family at this time!
ReplyDeleteThe earthquakes have hit hard haven't they - In Auckland we feel so safe from it all but we are not immune to this and our hearts and thoughts are with those in the South Island
Take care
