Catching up

I'm back because Alby told me it was time to update my blog. I've been incredibly busy with work and other stuff, and haven't had time to scratch myself, let alone blog! A quick list to catch up:
  • I'm still trying to lose the weight I gained on my trip to NZ
  • I'm eating pretty well but not fitting in the exercise
  • I feel guiltier than usual about the lack of exercise because on Friday I bought a new ipod shuffle just for the gym. It's great! The bigger ipod was heavy and has fallen a few times. The shuffle clips onto my shirt perfectly. The newer shuffles have a voice that tells you which playlist of song you are on, so it works well for this. I can hear you asking the most important question and the answer is: the green one. (If you bought a new car I wouldn't ask what make it was, but I'd be keen to know its colour - it's IMPORTANT!!)
  • My Dad is doing pretty well. He now knows that he will never drive again, and that he is terminal. Mum says she was incredibly proud of how he took the news last Wednesday when the Neurologist spelled it out very clearly.  I'm just so incredibly sorry about the fears they have now.
  • There has been 1 or 2 monkeys at school for the past week, sitting on the roof and in trees. That's not something I had to deal with in NZ schools! And tonight, there was another monkey sitting in the tree near the little restaurant we were at. Very cute from a distance, but they can be nasty. Here's the photo I took of him on the roof today:

  1. Glad you are back.

I'm sorry that your dad has been given some bad news. I hope that he stays as well as he currently is for quite a while.

I think I'd get the blue Ipod shuffle.

  3. Glad to see you back blogging :) I don't have an ipod, but I do have an MP3 in pink. It doesn't have a voice but it does have a little screen and the song title scrolls along ($30 Big W). I agree colour is important.

I am so sorry to hear about your dad. I hope you are doing OK?
