Am I cheating??

I have a weird problem now... I have WW scales at home, but my official weight has always been the scales at work, where we had a Biggest Loser competition going since the end of January. Well, I won't be able to weigh on those for 9 weeks, because that's how long our holiday are!! (An International school in Singapore.) The scales at work are about 1kg heavier than my ones at home. Well actually, they're probably the same but by the time I get to work I've eaten breakfast and put clothes on LOL!! I was going to weigh on my scales, then add 1kg to that weight, but that seems silly. I guess I should just make my home scales the official ones, but that means that tomorrow I will have a FANTASTIC loss since they are 1kg lighter. Is that cheating??

  1. Nah. It's not cheating. Just make a note of the variance in scale. Then weigh in on those ones and track from there. You'll get a "win" for one week only. Then you will show accurate, "apples for apples" losses. Then when you go BACK to work, you may have a less positive loss. So over the long term its all swings and roundabouts?!

Am I making sense Deb, or just waffling?!

  2. I agree with Lucy. Not cheating! its either that or no weighing in at all.

Also your going to be weighing yourself on your own set of scales alot longer than you will on your work ones!

  3. I agree with Lucy & Alby too Deb!

I'm no longer going to weekly meetings as I'm away from my usual leader. I've bought a set of WW scales and weigh on them (in the nuddie) once per week and use that for my official weight.

When I go back to my meeting (which is held at night) I may show a gain that first week but in the long run, it will balance out.

I started with WW at the night meeting (you know, after you've eaten all day and are decently clothed) so that's my "offical" starting weight!

That said, in my eyes, my "correct" weight I feel is in the morning, in the nuddie!

Have a great weekend! Gae oxoxo
