Today I was back at work for Summer School classes. As my husband Ian and I were walking from the car to the classes, I heard people chatting behind us. Then suddenly one of them called out, "Good grief. Is that you Deb???" I turned and grinned at a fellow Kiwi friend who I hadn't seen in a while. She had stopped in her tracks and was staring at me. Then she said, "I've been following you, wondering who was walking with Ian, because it just does NOT look like you. I'm blown away at how different you look!!"
Well that was a great way to start the day! She came and found me during the day and said, "I seriously did not recognise you. I just can't believe it. I thought your husband had a new woman..."
I think my husband feels like he DOES have a new woman in his life - a fitter, happier one.
Awesome! And I bet you are still smiling now!
