I've been looking at photos tonight. REALLY looking at them. I had an updated one taken yesterday, but I also found some that were taken last July. The older ones took my breath away. I felt ok that day. It was my daughter's 21st and I had made an effort to look good. I saw these photos after the event, and just glossed over them. I concentrated on the beautiful photos of my daughter. Tonight, I made myself study them and I am so sad that I looked like that. What an unhealthy person I was. No wonder I was labeled as MORBIDLY OBESE. I still don't like the way I look, but I can certainly appreciate the changes when I compare the photos.
The only reason that I can look at the old photos closely, and share them here, is that I no longer look like that.
I must keep going. I must not go back to that state.

I hear you Deb. I look at some photos from my heaviest (I'm sure I weighed in the 140's a couple of years ago, when I first finished uni), and I feel so sad. But a part of me does feel proud that although it may have taken her time, that girl in those photos got off her arse and did something about it! We must use the photos as motivation.
ReplyDeleteYou look wonderful, by the way! As Liz said, you have such a glow about you! I can't wait to see how you look when you get to goal! xo
